Session 1: April 27th- May 1st

StoryJam is a great opportunity for middle school youth to learn how to make a video that is based on a short personal narrative from their own life experience. Students will learn multimedia production tools and use different modalities to create their digital stories. The process includes verbal sharing, reflective writing, audio recording, visual design exercises, guided photography and videography exercises, and video editing. The StoryJam workshop will culminate in an online screening of participants’ stories. The final videos will be available for download and sharing by students via their own social media channels. This workshop will be conducted in English.

What you will need for workshop:

  • Access to internet

  • Access to a smartphone, tablet or laptop

  • Access to an email

  • Download WeVideo App to device

We will send a link to the session and all necessary program information two days before each StoryJam begins.

We will release activities weekly — some online, some offline, of varying levels of difficulty—over the course of the next few months. Each activity will include a feature of a woman in tech who pioneered innovative technology.
